Program Manager, Healthy Environment and Endocrine Disruptor Strategies (HEEDS)

Sarah Howard is an expert on the environmental factors contributing to the global diabetes epidemic. She is the author of DiabetesandEnvironment.org and Program Manager for HEEDS, a project of Environmental Health Sciences. She developed adult-onset type 1 diabetes while pregnant with her older son, and her younger son developed type 1 diabetes at 23 months of age. She has worked with CHE for many years on the topic of environmental chemicals and diabetes and continues to coordinate CHE's Diabetes-Obesity ScienceServ. She lives near Albany, NY with her husband and two sons.
